Cookie Policy

We keep this simple because our use of cookies is simple: no advertising, no analytics, no tracking. The only thing we store is what's needed to keep you signed in, plus whatever our payment gateway sets while you pay.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Related technologies - like a browser's local storage - do a similar job. Both let a site remember something between page loads, such as the fact that you are signed in.

2. What we use, and why

  • Sign-in session (essential). When an operator or administrator signs in to the dashboard, we keep a session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in as you move between pages. It is removed when you sign out. Without it, signing in would not work.
  • Payments (essential, third party). When you pay through our gateway, PayHere, it may set its own cookies to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by PayHere's own cookie and privacy policies.

That is the entire list. We set no advertising cookies, run no analytics or tracking, and do no profiling. The public pages of this site - including the request-access form, which just composes an email in your own mail app - set no cookies of ours at all.

3. Managing cookies

Because the items we use are essential to signing in and paying, there is nothing to opt out of to browse the public site. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser's settings - doing so will simply sign you out of the dashboard. Most browsers also let you block cookies, though blocking the essential ones will stop sign-in and payment from working.

4. Changes and contact

If our use of cookies ever changes - for example, if we introduce analytics - we will update this page and its date, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent first. Questions: hello@ceylonlot.com.lk.
